Soulstice FAQ's

Sound Immersion Experiences

What Is A Sound Bath?

A sound bath is a guided experience of intentional rest where you lie down comfortably while crystal singing bowls and other resonant instruments are played slowly around the room. The tones aren’t music you have to follow — they’re vibrations your body naturally settles into, often deepening breath, softening muscles, and quieting mental activity. Some people sleep, some notice emotions gently surface, and some simply feel stillness for the first time in a while. Nothing is required of you and nothing needs to be achieved; you’re not asked to focus, participate, or clear your mind. You simply get comfortable and allow yourself to be held in sound, letting the body move toward calm in its own way.

What Does A Sound Bath Feel Like?

Everyone experiences it differently. You may notice:

  • deep relaxation

  • emotional release

  • warmth or tingling

  • mental clarity

  • imagery or memories

  • or simply peaceful rest

There is no right experience and nothing you need to make happen.

What Should I Bring?

Bring whatever helps you feel comfortable resting:

  • yoga mat or padded mat

  • blanket

  • pillow or bolster

  • eye mask (optional)

  • water

  • wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing

You will be lying flat on the ground for an extended period of time, therefore, bring anything that will aid in your comfort.

Do I Need Prior Meditation Experience?

No. Sound meditation is accessible to beginners and experienced practitioners alike. The tones gently guide your body into a relaxed, meditative state without effort, so you don’t need to know how to meditate or quiet your thoughts beforehand.

Are Sound Baths Safe For Everyone?

It is generally safe for most people. However, if you have epilepsy, severe tinnitus, strong sound sensitivity, medical implant devices or other medical concerns, it’s best to consult your healthcare provider beforehand and let us know so we can help you decide whether the experience is appropriate for you. Pregnant participants should also consult their healthcare provider before participating in a sound bath.

Soulstice Retreats & Events
What Is A Soulstice Retreat Like?

Soulstice retreats are spacious, restorative gatherings designed for women who feel tired, stretched thin, or ready for something deeper. We blend gentle structure with unhurried time - think meaningful conversations, nourishing meals, rest, sound healing, reflection, laughter, yoga and moments of sacred quiet. Nothing is forced, performative, or overwhelming. You’re invited to simply arrive as you are. Depending on the location, retreats range from 3, 4 or 7 days long.

Where Do Soulstice Retreats Take Place?

Soulstice retreats take place in intentionally chosen landscapes of beauty and healing  - the red rocks of Sedona, the Blue Ridge Mountains of Georgia, the towering redwoods and rolling vineyards of California Wine Country and the calm island shores of the Bahamas. Each setting invites your body to exhale and settle long before the first gathering begins.

What If I Am Coming Alone?

Most women do.

Soulistice retreats are intentionally designed so no one feels like an outsider. By the end, guests often say it felt like exhaling with people they somehow already knew. Retreats are intentionally small so each person feels cared for, seen, and not lost in a crowd.

Can I Book A Private Group Experience?

Yes.  Soulstice offers private gatherings for friend groups, ministry teams, leadership groups, and special occasions.
